Art Center Ukiah is fiscally sponsored by the Arts Council of Mendocino, a 501(c)3 nonprofit. The purpose of Art Center Ukiah is to promote the Arts and Artists of the county through exhibits in the gallery and through community education to encourage appreciation of the visual arts.
Statement of purpose: This corporation is a nonprofit public benefit corporation and is not organized for the private gain of any person. It is organized under the California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law for public and charitable purposes. The specific purposes of this corporation are to provide to the community opportunities for the appreciation and patronage of the arts, more especially, but not limited to, the visual arts, focusing on the interaction of the public and the artists, through the promotion of exhibits in a variety of media, of creative educational opportunities for community members of all ages, of demonstrations, fairs, conferences and meetings to encourage interaction between the public and artists, and to engage in any other lawful activities permitted under the California Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law.
